      Questions on Remanufactured Toner Cartridges
    • What does it mean "remanufactured cartridge"?

      According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, remanufacture means "to manufacture into a new product".

      To remanufacture used cartridge, the cartridge will be first visually inspected, if the cartridge is in good condition, the remanufacture procedure will go through as following:
      1. Disassemble the cartridge;
      2. Inspect the parts, including drum, wire, rollers, blades, etc.;
      3. Clean the reusable parts;
      4. Replace the worn or defected parts;
      5. Seal the cartridge as needed; (Not all cartridge need to be sealed)
      6. Refill dedicated toner;
      7. Reassemble the cartridge;
      8. Final test.

      Properly following the procedure, the cartridges can be remanufactured several times.

    • How to evaluate the remanufactured toner cartridge?

      Following proper remanufacture procedure with good quality control, remanufactured toner cartridges will meet or exceed OEM standards.

      However, some companies use "drill and fill" method to produce their toner cartridge, these kind of operations miss the steps for quality control. They simply drill holes on cartridge to dump out waste toner then fill the new toner, failing to inspect, clean, repair and replace defective parts. These cartridges will perform poorly and do not belong to remanufactured products.

      We carry only remanufactured toner cartridge, which are produced following proper remanufacture procedure to assure good quality, they will perform as well as, or better than, new cartridges.

    • Is the problem caused by toner cartridge?

      Problem is complicated, but to solve it could be simple. Try these steps:

      1. Print a page from the printer alone, if your printer has this function, check your user manual for references. Not all printers have this function. If the page has no problem, the toner cartridge did not cause the problem, the printer needs service. Otherwise, go next step.

      2. If your printer does not have "print-alone" function, print test page from your computer. If the page has no problem, the toner cartridge did not cause the problem, the printer needs service. Otherwise, go next step.

      3. Replace the toner cartridge with another one, print test page again. If the problem exists, the toner cartridge did not cause the problem, the printer needs service. Otherwise, go next step.

      4. The problem could cause by the toner cartridge, it needs replacement.

      We recommend you keep a spare cartridge handy, it will save you time, energy, scratch and hair.
